What We’re Looking For
Trillium Health Resources has a career opening for a Trainer to join our Training team. This position is responsible for managing and coordinating all facets of the CIT program, MHFA, QPR, and other community trainings provided by Trillium Health Resources. The Trainer builds upon the foundation of the current CIT base of sponsors by collaborating with volunteers, community partners, and Trillium staff to offer specialized training for Law Enforcement in accordance with the pre-arrest jail diversion model set forth by the Memphis Model.
On a typical day, you might:
- Coordinate trainings for members.
- Conduct Mental Health First Aid training, QPR, Responder Strong, CDSMP and other trainings as needed.
- Work collaboratively with the Communications Department, community-based organizations, and organizations who share our vision.
- Develop a broad volunteer base to assist in supporting logistics on days of training, as well as participating in various segments.
- Will be required to travel within all counties served by Trillium to conduct trainings such that multiple overnight stays are warranted.

Qualifications
Required:
- High School diploma/GED and six (6) years of experience with the BH/MH/IDD/SU population; OR
- Associate’s degree and four (4) years of experience with the BH/MH/IDD/SU population; OR
- Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of experience with the BH/MH/IDD/SU population; OR
- Equivalent combination of education/experience.
- Certification as CIT Coordinator, Youth and/or Adult MHFA instructor must be acquired within one (1) year of hire and maintained for duration of employment.
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must reside within Trillium’s Southern Region, which includes the following counties: Bladen, Brunswick, Columbus, Hoke, Lee, Moore, New Hanover, Robeson, and Scotland.
- Must be able to travel to a Trillium office location and within catchment as required.
Preferred:
- Degree in Human Services field.
- Two (2) years of experience in Law Enforcement.
