Auditor I, 2nd Shift
New Bern, NC / Full-time
Your responsibilities
In Final Audit, responsible for performing and recording the results of inspections performed on appliances and accessories to see that they exceed customer expectations. In Receiving Inspection, directly responsible for inspections and verifications of incoming supplier parts.
· Perform audits on BSH and OEM product arriving at the warehouse and selected for audit.
· Un-box, performs functional tests, record results, cosmetic reviews and makes corrective action and re-box product.
· Troubleshoot, repair and/or rework defects as instructed by Quality Team Leader and/or Quality Supervisor.
· Maintain a neat and orderly working environment.
· Support activities associated with distribution center’s product and service parts department as necessary.
· Inspect, repair, repack product for resale when possible.
· Disposition of returned appliances un-repairable both physically and electronically.
· Assist as needed in onsite support for rework /repair by 3rd party outside resources.
· Participate in physical inventory of distribution center if necessary.
· Participate in cross-training functions throughout the department as required by Supervisor.
· Perform all other duties as assigned.
· Perform visual audits and functional tests of units in final audit per work instructions.
· Perform inspections and verifications of incoming supplier parts.
· Ability to use Ohm and Volt meters as well as leak tester to troubleshoot problems.
· Support any rework activities pertaining to finished units.
· Inspect and disposition damaged units returned from the Central Distribution Center.
· Communicate information about faults found in Final Audit with Managers, Supervisors, Engineers, and Associates as needed.
· Perform all required job functions in a safe manner consistent with plant standards and report any problems immediately to the department supervisor.
· Support Production and Fabrication on questions involving functional or cosmetic issues.
· Ability to use or learn computer software such as SAP, Windows, Outlook, Excel and Word to maintain and communicate quality data.
· Maintain a neat and orderly work area per the 5S standards
· Performs and records the results of inspections on incoming parts.
· Cooperates with other individuals and groups as necessary.
· Perform all other duties as assigned.
Your profile
· High School Diploma – Required
· 0-2 Years of Experience (Manufacturing/Warehouse Environment Experience) – Required
· 0-2 Years of Experience (Mechanical/Electrical Background) – Required
· Good mechanical skills
· Basic knowledge of auditing
· Good written and oral communication skills
· A thorough understanding of the processes of Receiving inspection, Final Audit, and Life Test is desired
· Good PC skills in Word & Excel
· A thorough understanding of OEM products is desirable
· Labor Grade within this Job Classification is dependent on experience, knowledge, responsibility, performance, dependability and job complexity.
· Proficient in SAP, PDM, EXCEL and WORD programs. Manufacturing background in related departmental area. Basic measurement instruments and machine control knowledge if required for the working area.
· Forklift, clamp truck, test equipment, workstations, basic computer, calculator, test and measuring instruments, basic hand tools.
Your Pay & Benefits
The pay range posted for this position is based on the location noted in the posting title. Exact compensation offered may vary based on your specific skillset and work location. If the position is bonus or incentive eligible then the payments range from 0% to 200% of target with details laid out within the plan document.

· The greater of (a) 40 hours of paid sick leave or (b) state or local minimum requirements for paid leave (Non-Production Line).
· 40 hours of paid personal leave (Production Line).
· 12 days of paid holidays per year (max 8 hours paid per day).
