Clean & Pack presso Tekni-Plex

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

1. Assigned to the operation of one of the post processing Clean & Pack equipment – Shakers, Freezer, Dip Sink Siliconizing, Dryers, Washing or Drying Ovens.
2. Following standard methods and techniques, repetitively processes the product to ensure it meets customer and product specification, and alerts Manager when standards are not met.
3. Monitors machine specifications as directed.
4. Maintains all equipment and advises the Manager of repairs when necessary.
5. Packs product for final staging and shipment.
6. Coordinates with QC and Shipping as to any issues.
7. Cross trained in all equipment within the department and fills in as needed.
8. Completes daily paperwork, neatly and accurately.
9. Promotes safety by:
   1. Ensuring the housekeeping in the immediate and surrounding work area is maintained or improved to the highest level possible.
   2. Wearing personal protective equipment (hearing protection and gloves).
10. Ensures Quality products and processes are maintained by:
    1. Understanding and supporting both quality policies and the Quality System.
    2. Performing work at a level that ensures quality of this position’s work meets or exceeds internal specifications.
    3. Identifying and correcting if possible any identified quality issues in the department.
    4. Participating in system or quality based training provided by the company or recommended by the company.

QUALIFICATIONS:

 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent; or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effective present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.

 MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 

 REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; vibration; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold and extreme heat.  Occasionally, the employee is exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; and fumes or airborne particles.  The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
