Business Contribution
To provide support to the Australia business unit, pertaining to Health, Safety, Security and Environmental issues and ensuring the successful implementation of the HSSE management system; leading to the development of a positive safety culture in the Australia business. Responsible for the Jandakot Facility and all remote personnel working in Australia including the Field Service Engineers and the remote Territory Managers..
What You Will Do
- To set strategic and specific HSSE targets and objectives and to measure performance through the Australia service business via the HSSE facility specific HSSE KPI Scorecard, up to functional and regional management.
- The development and maintenance of the organizations management system(s) through the Global HSSE Manual; this includes the creation of new and the revision of existing documentation to reflect changing operational circumstances, taking into consideration local Western Australia State and Australian Federal legislation, Enerpac Tool Group requirements and industry best practice.
- Facilitate consultation and participation of employees through active safety committees, facility safety meetings, TBTs, safety stand downs, town hall meetings, GEMBA walks, safety tours, HSSE Notice boards and signage, and daily prestart discussions with the Workshop and Warehouse departments.
- Ensuring that all tasks and activities are suitably risk assessed, documented and communicated to the personnel who will conduct them; both on-site and remotely.
- Ensuring that a risk register is developed for the Australia business unit; and that it is maintained so that all hazards are identified and mitigated to ALARP.
- Ensure a robust management of change process is implemented and maintained
- Ensuring that a robust emergency preparedness and response plan is in place; and to ensure that the plan is regularly reviewed and exercised to ensure its effectiveness.
- To maintain and implement a robust internal assurance audit program in each of the areas of HSSE; to drive compliance to0 legal requirements, company standards and the ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 standards; also, to support with compliance to the ISO 9001:2015 standard.
- To lead incident investigation teams to facilitate the use of root cause analysis tools and draft and distributing comprehensive incident investigation reports.
- To take a Leading role in annual facility level HSSE management reviews to drive continuous improvement.
- Proactively initiate or participate in existing HSSE initiatives and improvements.
- To identify HSSE training needs by maintaining an Australia Business Unit training requirements matrix, assuring the conduct of HSSE training and monitoring the level of HSSE training achieved by maintaining a business unit level HSSE training matrix.
- The development and maintenance of a legal and other requirements register for the business covering all State and Federal legal requirements, and the implementation of a robust legal compliance assurance audit program.
- To be a subject matter expert on all Country HSSE specific legislation implementation and reporting requirements.
- To develop and implement an effective environmental management system and support environmental sustainability initiatives via the collection, collation and reporting of sustainability data as required.
- To develop and implement an effective waste management plan for each Jandakot facility.
- To develop, maintain and implement an effective Environmental Aspects and Impacts Register. To undertake regular facility inspection and support senior management with their planned site inspections.
- The implementation of both a behavioral based safety methodology, and the implementation of Enerpac Tool Group Human and Organisational Performance Tools to drive continuous improvement throughout the facility.
- Ensure that chemical substances are assessed, stored and used appropriately, that all Safety Data Sheets (SDS’s) are maintained up to date. In addition, ensure that all personnel are aware of the requirements from the related SDS’s.
- To ensure that all corrective and preventative actions raised are a priority and closed out within agreed timelines.
- To ensure that NCRs are raised, investigated by a relevant team and closed out in a timely fashion for all customer complaints, supplier issues and other non-conformances identified across the ESSAI service business.
- To develop and implement an effective security management plan for all ESSAI service facilities.
What makes you an ideal candidate
- 5 years plus HSSE experience in the oil and gas and / or the service / assembly / manufacturing fields
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (WHS) / NEBOSH general certificate
- Incident investigator training
- Lead or Internal Auditor qualification in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 or 45001
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio
- Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and oral
- Leadership qualities to lead, inspire and develop the Jandakot team
