The Warehouse Shift Lead assists in overseeing aspects of warehouse operations to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. Key responsibilities include employee training, quality control, production oversight, maintenance coordination, safety compliance, and process optimization. The position also focuses on monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), enforcing Standard Operating Procedures, and managing personnel to drive operational success.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement daily staffing plans based on workload and operational needs to ensure the effective closure of the distribution center.
- Equip team members with the necessary resources to perform their roles effectively and collaborate with management to address any unmet team requirements.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as safety, quality, productivity, and labor costs, and provide clear performance updates to management and staff.
- Foster employee engagement through daily interactions, offering guidance, recognition, coaching, and counseling to support team development.
- Oversee daily workflows to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient order processing.
- Optimize inventory management by maintaining efficient stock placement, performing proper stock rotation, removing expired or damaged items, and conducting inventory reconciliations.
- Execute and uphold industry-leading closing procedures, prioritizing safety, cleanliness, and efficiency.
Job Requirements
- 2+ years of warehouse experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of storage racking and pallet systems
- Must be flexible with shift start times as well as days worked
- Forklift experience a plus
- Lightspeed/Seed systems experience preferred
