POSITION SUMMARY 

Cassaday & Company, a top wealth management firm in the country and Virginia’s #1 financial advisor, is seeking candidates to join our nationally ranked, award-winning planning staff as an administrative assistant on our Financial Planning team.  

 

As a member of Cassaday & Company, Inc. you will be responsible for assisting the financial planners with scheduling appointments (client and prospect), preparing meeting agendas, managing multiple calendars, and assisting with managing email traffic. This position reports to the Director of Financial Planning, but will work closely with many departments within the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

The responsibilities of the position include a cross section of Operations and Financial Planning including, but not limited to: 

 

  • Serve as liaison between financial advisors and their established/prospective clients, responding to their needs in a timely and professional manner. 

  • Schedule and coordinate client and prospect meetings as requested. 

  • Confirm all client and prospect appointments for financial advisors. 

  • Prepare meeting agendas for existing client review meetings. 

  • Prepare and print all materials needed in client review meetings. 

  • Maintain client account records by ensuring all documents are scanned and filed.  

  • Answer incoming phone calls for the firm as needed.  

  • Assist financial advisors with calendar maintenance. 

  • Assist financial advisors manage email traffic as requested. 

  • Provide cross-coverage assistance within the Financial Planning department. 

  • Assist the Director of Financial Planning with projects and tasks as requested. 

 

REQUIREMENTS 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, and/or 2 successful internships in the wealth management industry 

  • Must obtain FPQP paraplanner designation within first 90 days of employment. 

  • Strong work ethic, client service orientation, job commitment, initiative, organizational skills and attention to detail. 

  • Ability to work with all levels of management and anticipate support requirements 

  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment with minimal supervision and maintain a high degree of confidentiality regarding organization and personal matters
