Come join our team!  LifeServe Blood Center is currently looking for a candidate with strong attention to detail and the desire to provide exceptional customer service for a part-time Product Management Technician.  Through the selfless giving of volunteer blood donors, LifeServe Blood Center is able to serve more than 175 hospitals across Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Illinois by providing access to a safe, quality blood supply for hospital patients in their critical time of need. 

 

Essential Responsibilities of This Position:

  • Performs assigned tasks and procedures as they pertain to manufacturing, storage and distribution of blood and blood-related products.
  • Product labeling
  • Irradiation of blood products
  • Receiving and fulfilling orders
  • Proper packing of blood products for transport / Arrange for transport and delivery of blood products to hospitals
  • Tracking and reporting on product inventory
  • Addresses procedural, technical and equipment problems
  • Identify, troubleshoot and document problems that may influence the quality or completion of shipping and component manufacturing

 

Shift:

  • Part Time
  • Shift Mon - Fri 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM

 

Qualifications:

  • Ability to perform standardized/highly regulated work using established procedures
  • Exhibits strong attention to detail with excellent organization and communication skills
  • Irradiation of blood products
  • Receiving and fulfilling orders
  • Proper packing of blood products for transport / Arrange for transport and delivery of blood products to hospitals
  • Tracking and reporting on product inventory
  • Addresses procedural, technical and equipment problems
  • Identify, troubleshoot and document problems that may influence the quality or completion of shipping and component manufacturing High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to perform standardized/highly regulated work using established procedures
  • Exhibits strong attention to detail with excellent organization and communication skills
  • Proficiency with computers is a must; experience with MS office is preferred
  • Ability to multitask and set priorities according to fluctuating demands
  • Exhibits strong interpersonal skills
  • Works effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively on a team, and adaptable to change
  • Must exercise initiative and apply critical problem-solving skills
  • Must maintain confidentiality of LifeServe Blood Center donors, employees, financial and proprietary records

 

Other Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Working knowledge and experience working on a computer system required. 

 

Benefits:

This position offers flex spending, vision, supplemental accident and/or critical care optional coverage, and 403b with company match up to 4%.  Paid Time Off (PTO) will start to accrue on day one.
