Employment Type:  Temporary Opportunity up to September 2027

Location: Flexible/hybrid working arrangements available across NSW, with some travel to Sydney metro locations required from time to time (negotiable)

Grade:  DCS Clerk Grade 9/10

Salary Range : $129,464 - $142,665 Base plus super

The opportunity   

We are now inviting applications for the opportunity of Senior Contracts & Performance Officer for Government Technology Platforms, within Digital NSW as it transforms to become the state's trusted partner to enable accessible and secure digital platforms and services for the citizens and business of NSW.

Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Commercial Contracts & Performance Manager, providing a range of strategic advice, in relation to the project procurement and vendor management of strategic vendors.
  • Develop, co-ordinate and lead sourcing activities to establish supply arrangements that meet business needs
  • Plan and lead contract negotiations in the establishment and review of supply arrangements to deliver value for money procurement outcomes
  • Manage and co-ordinate all aspects of contract management services including developing and managing contract management plans, negotiating changes and modifications, monitoring, and analysing performance, initiating service improvement Initiatives, addressing non-performance, and ensuring compliance requirements to achieve the required contract outcomes
  • This is a high-volume and dynamic environment that spans a range of procurement and commercial activity.

  • You will be an organised and self-motivated professional with demonstrated experience of contract and vendor management. With a high attention to detail and passion for customer service, you will consistently deliver value to a range of stakeholders across the business.
  • Your commitment to continuous improvement and ability to prioritise, work under pressure and clear communication skills will be critical to your success.
  • The successful applicant will be able to contextualise business requirements and understand NSW government procurement processes and associated documentation.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years working experience in strategic procurement, contract management and Vendor Management, within IT and/or government organisation being an advantage.
  • Results-oriented and self-motivated with a commercial mindset and strong business acumen
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills
  • Strong project implementation, coordination and financial analysis skills preferred
  • Proven ability to work independently, planning and achieving outcomes in a timely manner
  • Strong organisational skills and able to work under pressure
  • Good level of financial acumen, project management, data analysis and reporting capabilities.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to build and manage relationships with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders
