About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Travel Retail team with Pernod Ricard, a friendly team that lives the Pernod Ricard motto of being a creator of conviviality.
Under the Direction of the Regional Sales Manager, the KAM will be responsible to managing Europe and Africa regions for the key/strategic Travel Retail players in the channel.
Commercial acumen, cultural awareness and an understanding of global and local brand consumption habits is essential.
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
• Identify key opportunities and grow market share/value with the key retail customers within their remit.
• Work closely with the Customer Marketing team, finance, and operations teams to ensure key brand strategies are fulfilled.
• Work closely with the Supply Chain department to forecast customer volumes in line with company expectations.
• Conduct regular analysis of sales data and reports with input, strong understanding of market share.
• Track major competitor activity and report potential impact on key Pernod Ricard brands and solutions.
• Report and complete monthly analysis in line with business requirements.
• Manage a team of BAs in the retail space as well as agency relationships
• Support with staff training when required
• Drive accurate financial management of the accounts through a beyond budget approach
• Carry out planned store visits to bring excellence to retail space and our brands
• Manage travel/business costs in line with budgets.
• Ad hoc duties as required.
Key Relationships
• To develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders:
- Within the team: work closely with other sales and marketing team members
- Within the business unit: work closely with other Key account Managers from other regions and trade marketing
- Within PR Spain: work closely with marketing to understand synergy opportunities
- Internal: finance, marketing, supply chain departments
- External: main account contacts and key customers, as well as agencies and brand Ambassadors
• To identify and build strong partnerships to ensure that Pernod Ricard benefits from any opportunities.
Competencies and Qualifications Required
- Degree educated
- Good interpersonal skills, team player, collaborative
- Autonomous, rigorous, details oriented with strong analytical skills, results driven.
- Microsoft Excel knowledge
- Fluent English
- Spanish is a plus
Experience
- Previous commercial and account management experience
- Previous experience in Travel retail preferred
- Experience in the Spirits industry is a plus
Additional Requirements
- Must be willing to travel in EMEA as required
- Based in Madrid, Spain.
