What You’ll Do 

Here’s how you’ll help us bring our mission to life and show up as a Trusted Partner: 

As UX Designer, you will play a critical role in shaping the user experience around Practicetek Chiropractic and Optometry products. You will be focused on innovating and integrating AI solutions into flagship products, redesigning the core user interfaces, scaling multiple product design systems and making it easy and efficient for Practitioners to run their businesses and for patients to seamlessly manage their day-to-day treatments, appointments and communication with their Practitioners. 

You will lead UX strategy and design execution of product initiatives across multiple products that improve how healthcare practices run and manage their businesses. 
A fun aspect getting to design not just experiences for the businesses, but also for their patients through patient portals and care management apps.  

You will work directly with product managers, engineers, and other cross-functional stakeholders to design intuitive, user-centered experiences. 

This role requires a customer-centric, data-informed, and results-driven product designer—someone who can work cross-functionally to translate customer insights into clear UX requirements, prioritize with discipline, and drive execution that delivers measurable outcomes. 
 
This role additionally requires a skilled UX professional who combines user research and strategy, interaction design, and visual design to deliver polished and practical design solutions. You thrive in fast-paced environments, advocate for users, and are passionate about creating seamless digital experiences. 

This position is based in San Diego with a hybrid work schedule  
(3 days per week in office / Tues-Thurs) 


How Success is Measured 

Here’s how we’ll know you’re making an impact and raising the bar: 

  • Partner with product managers to help own the strategy and UX roadmap for Chiropractic and Optometry capabilities, aligned with business goals and customer needs. 

  • Design end-to-end user experiences and workflows that align with product strategy and roadmaps. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to define requirements and create elegant solutions. 

  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and stakeholder interviews to guide design and strategy decisions. 

  • Create wireframes, user flows, mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate design ideas effectively. 

  • Ensure design consistency, usability and accessibility across Practicetek products through maintaining and contributing to a shared design system. 

  • Co-own creating and managing design system components for products. 

  • Analyze user behavior and feedback to identify pain points to continuously optimize UX experiences for products and maintain a UX roadmap backlog. 

  • Advocate for accessibility, usability, and user-centered design across the organization. 

  • Define and track design related KPI’s to measure success for informing future design decisions. 

  • Assess business and user risks associated across UX initiatives. 

  • Stay informed on market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies in the Chiropractic, Optometry, Healthcare and AI space. 


What You Bring  

Your unique talents are what make you shine. For this role, success looks like: 

  • 4+ years of UX design experience in a SaaS or software product environment working across web and mobile applications. Healthcare a plus but not required. 

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design solutions across web and mobile applications. 

  • Proficiency with design, prototyping and design systems in Figma 

  • Experience conducting moderated and unmoderated user research and usability testing to inform design decisions. 

  • Ability to communicate design concepts clearly to product and leadership 

  • Solid understanding of UX principles, interaction design, and responsive design. 

  • Collaborative mindset with experience working in cross-functional teams. 

  • Strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for great design. 

  • Strong visual design skills to not only make products functional and user friendly but also visually appealing and delightful through elevated UI and interaction.

At PracticeTek, we determine compensation by considering market data, internal equity, and each candidate’s skills and experience. For this position, we reasonably expect to pay between [120-129K]. This role is also eligible for benefits, including health, dental, vision, paid time off, 401(k) with company match, and may be eligible for additional compensation such as bonuses or equity, as applicable.
