Part-time Adjunct Faculty

Adjunct Faculty are responsible for providing instruction and formatively and summatively assessing student learning. This position requires a professional with excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to effectively use instructional and classroom technology to enhance teaching and learning. Course: AMT100.950- Machining Fundamentals on Tuesdays, 6:30pm - 9:30pm at SG- 16 weeks. Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Business, Technology, and Workforce Education, Adjunct Faculty prepare course syllabi and design lessons, activities, assignments, and assessments to engage students with diverse learning styles and empowers students with the knowledge, skills, and abilities for them to meet all course objectives and outcomes. They also incorporate learning centered principles and concepts to motivate student to actively participate in all aspects of their educational experiences. Adjunct faculty members are responsible for student evaluation as well as timely and accurate reporting including, but not limited to, attendance verification, academic progress, and final course grades. Responsibilities include: Meetingthe established course description as well as program, course, and collegelearning outcomes and/or objectives while addressing each student's needs asdiverse learners. Followingand instructing students to follow safety rules in the laboratory. Incorporatinglearning-centered principles and concepts while motivating students to activelyparticipate in their educational experiences. Meetingall college deadlines for submission of attendance, grades and data collectionfor assessment of student learning. Integratinginstructional technology (if applicable) appropriately and effectively todeliver and enhance teaching and learning. Workingcollaboratively with professional colleagues to serve the needs of students andthe community. Modelingprofessionalism with excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonalskills.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology or related field, or Associate degree in the field of industrial technology and industry certification(s) and 4000 hours of work-related experience in the field. Preferred Experience Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Experienceteaching traditionally under-served populations. Experienceincorporating technology and multimedia applications into teaching and learningprocess. Experiencein teaching in multiple instructional modalities. Experiencein utilizing Learning Management Systems.
