The GoldOller Accounts Payable Specialist works closely with the Controller, accounting staff, Asset Managers, Regional Managers and Community Managers. The areas of responsibilities for the Accounts Payable Specialist include the following:
On any given day you will be doing the following:
- Ensure timely payment of all invoices
- Mail signed checks to vendors or upload payment files to the AvidXchange
- Process ‘Final Account Statements’ due to residents
- Follow up with Community Managers on missing and/or incomplete invoices
- Monitor invoice adjustments due from vendors
- Answer vendor and Community Manager inquiries regarding payment status
- Participate in new vendor setup, annual 1099 statements, vendor on-boarding and the setup of accounts for new acquisitions
- Oversee petty cash cards including new user maintenance, reconciliation, and funding
- Compile Replacement Reserve reimbursement packages to the lenders
- Assist Property Accountants, Accounting Manager, Controller, and Community Managers with any requests
- Ensure that all policies and procedures related to cash disbursements are followed
- Filing and other clerical duties as needed
You will need the following skills:
- Ability to conduct financial analysis and research
- Understand accounting theories, principles, and practices of the following:
- Accounting
- Budgeting
- Finance
- Financial record keeping
- Ability to analyze situations, identify problems and recommend solutions as they relate to accounting
- Detail orientated with proficiency in composing and proofing materials
- Effective use of time management with the ability to work independently
- Communicating in a professional manner with employees, vendors, and company contacts.
These are the qualifications you will need for your future role here:
- Minimum – HS Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred
- 3-5 years experience in accounts payable with the following skills:
- Computer proficiency, with thorough knowledge of Excel
- Property management experience desired
- Familiarity with OneSite – RealPage Residential Property Management Software preferred
