Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Automotive Trainer to deliver high-impact training for dealership F&I professionals. This role is critical in enhancing dealership profitability, compliance, and customer satisfaction through expert facilitation in finance and insurance processes, product knowledge, and sales techniques. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive retail training, a passion for coaching and mentoring, and the ability to create engaging learning experiences. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a passion for the retail automotive industry and adult learning.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct instructor-led training sessions focused on F&I product knowledge, compliance, sales process, and customer engagement.
  • Model facilitation of best practices for corporate trainers in deal structuring, lender relations, and menu presentation tools.
  • As needed, collaborate with instructional designers to develop and refine training materials, including manuals, videos, and eLearning modules.
  • For specific dealership engagements, customize training content to align with dealership goals, regional needs, and OEM guidelines.
  • Provide one-on-one coaching to underperforming F&I staff and develop action plans for improvement.
  • Track and report performance metrics, training outcomes, and compliance adherence.
  • Stay current on industry regulations, lender requirements, and product updates.
  • Build strong relationships with dealership leadership, OEM contacts, and internal stakeholders.
  • Verify learners’ understanding of the subject matter using competency-based training.
  • Identify additional training needs based on learners’ feedback and assessment of skills.
  • Maintain attendee training records in learning portal.
  • Collaborate regularly with Corporate, Regional, and Dealership team members to accomplish Corporate, Regional, and training department goals,
  • Build rapport and establish trust with dealership
  • Must love travel – 80% travel required.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum three years of experience training, coaching, or instructional delivery. Within the automotive industry is a plus
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel to training and dealership locations
  • Experience in automotive finance and insurance (F&I) is a plus

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with instructional design or adult learning principles.
  • Knowledge of F&I products, dealership operations, and compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in DMS and menu systems (e.g., DealerTrack, Reynolds, CDK, MaximTrak)
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Charismatic personality and passion for adult education
  • Excellent classroom facilitation skills
  • Thrives working independently but also enjoys working as part of a larger team
