The McGillis School, an established, independent K-8 school in Salt Lake City, Utah is looking for a long term substitute to take over for a Middle School Mathematics teacher beginning in March of 2026.

Position Description
The ideal candidate will have teaching experience, enjoy working with Middle School students, and be able to learn and implement the Eureka Math Squared mathematics curriculum. The curriculum is centered around process, practice, and proficiency to build confidence in all of our student mathematicians.
Responsibilities
- Manage a positive and structured classroom environment based on the mission and values of the school.
- Supervise recess and lunch according to duty schedules, monitor student safety at all times.
- Develop and deliver well-reasoned lesson plans and units within the scope and sequence of our Math curriculum.
- Communicate consistently with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues.
- Participate in weekly faculty or department meetings if needed.
- Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times.
- Participate in co-curricular program opportunities specific to The McGillis School (Family Group, Shabbat, Advisory, etc.)
- Serve as a Mentor to a small cohort of Middle School students.
- Be patient, positive, and find joy in the journey of promoting a lifelong love of learning (limud l’shma).
