Job Summary:
This dual-role position combines dispatching responsibilities with warehouse operations, playing a critical role in ensuring efficient coordination between drivers, customers, and the warehouse team. The individual will be responsible for dispatching pickups and deliveries, providing clear instructions to drivers, and staying in communication to resolve any issues or delays. Additionally, they will manage loading and unloading trucks, ensuring inventory is organized and secured for transport, while maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. The role also involves tracking shipments, performing regular inventory checks, and ensuring all items are accounted for. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proactive problem-solving and flexibility are key, as the candidate will need to adapt to the changing demands of the job while keeping operations running smoothly.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Ensure drivers are on schedule to complete their daily pickups/deliveries
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Sort deliveries by pre-determined areas to create driver manifests
- Enter, schedule, and assign jobs through our Fleet Management software.
- Determine if drivers have the capacity to accept additional jobs throughout the day
- Respond to customer problems and engage in conflict resolution
- Ensure that drivers are on schedule to complete their assigned jobs
- Troubleshoot logistical issues
- Safely load/unload freight from trucks
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and office space
- Safely operate a forklift
- Weigh, measure, and package freight
- Shrink wrap, and securely band freight to pallets
- Advise supervisor of any damaged/missing freight or discrepancies
- Maintain detailed inventories of freight
- Ensure sensors, alarms, doors are working properly
- Act in compliance with company and legal safety regulations
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 3:00pm, plus some weekend work.
Pay Starting At: $22-$25 per hour

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma
- Forklift Experience
- Forklift Certification Preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Prolonged periods of sitting on a forklift
- Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 25 pounds at times
