Description
Summary: The MRO Buyer will be responsible for managing the procurement and inventory control of Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) supplies, including spare parts, production tools, and equipment repair parts. This role plays a key part in ensuring that critical spare parts and tools are readily available to support the smooth and efficient operation of the plant and office equipment. The MRO Buyer will work closely with maintenance teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders to support ongoing operational needs.
· Manage physical tool and parts inventory, including assembling toolboxes, distributing and collecting tools/parts from the production team, tracking usage, coordinating replacements, and conducting regular inventory checks.
· Order and manage equipment repair parts to ensure minimal downtime of production equipment.
· Maintain accurate and organized equipment files for all MRO-related items.
· Oversee and maintain inventory of production tools and spare parts, ensuring critical items are readily available when needed.
· Use the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to attach parts to work orders and track their usage.
· Identify and maintain a list of critical spare parts required for production equipment to minimize production disruptions.
· Provide support by gathering quotes and offering options in response to internal requests for MRO equipment, services, or supplies for both plant and office operations.
· Maintain and update the MRO inventory spreadsheet to track stock levels, part usage, and reorder points.
· Collaborate with maintenance teams to forecast future needs and ensure proper stock levels for continued operations.

Requirements
· Education, and/or experience equivalent to a two-year Degree in business or a related field
· Proven experience in procurement or inventory management, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
· Strong working knowledge of CMMS or similar inventory management systems.
· Attention to detail with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
· Ability to work effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
· Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
· Knowledge of MRO parts and equipment is a plus.
· Ability to lift and move materials, as necessary.
· Occasional travel to vendor locations or plant areas may be required.
