Responsibilities
Job Summary:
The Contract Manager – Value Add Products reports to the Director, Global Aluminum Procurement Supply Chain and is responsible for overseeing and managing all aluminum billet and slab supply agreements to support RPNA operations. This role serves as a critical link between suppliers and internal stakeholders, ensuring seamless coordination of supply chain activities and optimal material flow to meet production demands. Supply chain background with a desire to develop into a commercial/procurement role is preferred.
In this role, you will:
- Contract Oversight:
- Manage all existing aluminum billet and slab supply agreements for North America and Europe, ensuring compliance, performance, and alignment with business objectives.
- Performance Monitoring:
- Track and communicate supplier delivery performance to key internal stakeholders, identifying and resolving any issues that may impact production.
- Develop and execute qualification plans in collaboration with quality, supply chain and operations when new suppliers or products are selected to be qualified.
- Monitor all scrap loops between secondary suppliers and Arconic plants, ensuring the volumes are available, supplier is taking required amounts, and equipment is available for success on both sides.
- Volume Allocation:
- Allocate monthly purchase volumes at the production site level to align with RPNA demand forecasts and operational needs to best optimize internal production and raw materials.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Act as the primary liaison between RPNA Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) teams, finance, quality, and suppliers, facilitating clear communication and issue resolution. Serve as the key point of contact between RPNA plant supply chain teams and suppliers to ensure alignment and responsiveness.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor raw material inventories at tolling suppliers and collaborate closely with metal procurement teams to ensure timely availability of required materials, preventing disruptions in slab supply to RPNA.
Qualifications
You have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field from an accredited institution.
- 5 years in supply chain or supporting manufacturing businesses at a corporate/enterprise level.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. §730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Authorizations from the relevant government agency may be required to meet export control compliance requirements.
Exceptional Candidates also have:
- 8 years in supply chain or supporting manufacturing businesses at a corporate/enterprise level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable challenging suppliers and driving accountability.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting.
