Purpose:

  • Provide Administrative and Professional support to the Third-Party Liability Unit.

 

Scope:

  • Intermediate level job with some work experience
  • Possesses basic work skills or is multi-skilled through job related training
  • Completes routine assignments as directed.  May be asked to solve problems of a

recurring nature making recommendations for corrective action or changes. 

  • Completes work with a moderate degree of supervision
  • Identifies problems in straightforward situations. Makes sound decisions using standardized procedures as a guide


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Opens, sorts, and delivers mail.
  • Verifies eligibility and updates systems.
  • Enters denials.
  • Handles new discovery.
  • Receives emails and phone calls from the State and possibly providers and responds according to procedure in a timely manner. 
  • Handles special batch claims and claims review.
  • Processes checks.
  • Closes deposits for invoice reconciliation.
  • Performs data entry for retro Medicare.
  • Assists with Carrier Billing workflow as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

 

Qualifications

 

Successful candidate for this position:

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent.
  • Must be 18+ years of age.
  • Prior Customer Service and Data Entry experience helpful.
  • Ability to accurately type and navigate various systems.
  • Must be able to read, write and possess understanding to draw conclusions.
  • Must be able to multitask.
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Work and Excel) helpful.
  • Ability to adhere to attendance policy and guidelines.
  • A positive attitude and be able to work with co-workers and customers within a diverse culture.
  • The ability to relate to customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • The ability to work in a team environment, to perform under pressure, and sit for long periods of time.
  • Must possess attention to detail.
  • Self-motivation to work under his/her own initiative.
  • Must pass state, federal, and criminal background check.


Pay Transparency Laws in some locations require disclosure of compensation and/or benefits-related information.  For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. In addition, Conduent provides a variety of benefits to employees including health insurance coverage, voluntary dental and vision programs, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) or vacation and/or sick time. The estimated hourly rate is $17.50 per hour.
