ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Leading client engagements focused on customs compliance, tariff classification, valuation, and duty optimization.
  • Providing clients with tailored trade-related guidance, including regulatory interpretations, risk assessments, and best practices for global trade operations.
  • Developing and implementing trade strategies that align with clients’ business goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Managing cross-border operations and advising on trade documentation, licensing, and regulatory changes.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners to identify opportunities and mitigate trade risks.
  • Staying current with global trade laws, free trade agreements, and emerging technologies impacting supply chain and trade operations.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES

  • Proficient and conversant with all Global Trade Compliance policies, procedures, and work instructions
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret existing and industry and government requirements.
  • Ability to coach, train and mentor direct reports and provide career development opportunities through training and quality management activities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues from all departments to accomplish assigned objectives.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
  • Direct experience and working knowledge on Export Control, Import Regulations
  • Minimum of 5 years' work experience related to Trade

CERTIFICATION and LICENSES

  • Certification as a “Certified U.S. Export Compliance Officer (CUSECO),
  • Import certification or Customs Brokers License

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Talking, hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
