We are looking for a Global Crop Lead, Operations to join our Agricultural Solutions division for our BASF | Nunhems Vegetable Seeds team based in Parma, ID. Relocation assistance is available, if applicable.

As a Global Crop Lead, you will define the global crop strategy for the assigned crops as input to the Operations Strategy, covering the expertise areas of Production, Supply Chain, Quality & Processing, and Operations Technology. Your work will secure a consistent mid- to long-term supply of seed while contributing to the long-term success of BASF Vegetable Seeds by emphasizing seed production reliability and usability, effective and efficient processing, and accurate prediction of seed quality. You will also support sales & operations planning (S&OP) and seed-availability–related inventory management, all of which directly influence gross margin and EBIT contribution.

- Demonstrating strong analytical ability to identify major drivers and summarize and present strategic directions comprehensively.
- Working effectively in a matrix organization within a dynamic international environment.

- Possessing functional leadership and competencies in influencing, driving, organizing, analyzing, and (global) team building.
- Thinking out of the box and enforcing change to achieve ambitious goals.Understanding the global vegetable seed industry (preferred).

- Possess a degree in Supply Chain Management, preferred, with studies/experience in Plant Science, Horticulture, Agriculture, or related fields of study also considered.
- Have the combination of a master's degree with 10 years of experience or bachelor's degree with 13 years of experience in a business setting, including experience in an international leadership position—preferably in a matrix organization.
- Understand the basics of seed operations, seed physiology, seed pathology, and the vegetable seed industry, preferred.
- Possess knowledge of agronomy and vegetable seed operations for Biennials and Cucurbitaceae, preferred.
- Have strategic thinking capabilities.
- Have people management experience and change management in a functional relationship environment.
- Can travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.
