About the Role
The Credit and Collection Lead is responsible for leading accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely collections, managing credit exposure, and resolving deduction and delinquency issues. This position plays a key role in the global ERP transition (S/4 HANA SAP) and collaborates closely with Sales, Finance, and Senior Leadership across the Lifestyle Consumer Audio business.
You will act as the subject matter expert for credit and collections in North America, with responsibilities that extend to supporting major corporate and global initiatives.
What You Will Do
Credit & Collections Management
- Lead the review of A/R aging to identify and resolve delinquencies.
- Contact customers on collection matters and secure timely payments.
- Partner with senior leadership to pursue delinquent/problem accounts.
- Participate in monthly AR Aging meetings, including presentation preparation.
- Resolve outstanding issues: credits, RMAs, and small balance write-offs.
- Monitor and initiate credit insurance and establish seasonal limits.
- Review customer accounts for potential bad debt write-offs.
- Perform ongoing account and financial reconciliations.
Deduction & Credit Hold Oversight
- Investigate and validate deductions; resolve through credit memos as appropriate.
- Collect unauthorized deductions and work directly with customers.
- Monitor orders that fail credit criteria, taking actions per policy.
- Communicate credit hold issues to Sales, Customers, and Leadership.
- Support month-end close, reporting, and forecast requirements.
ERP Transition (NERP – S/4 HANA SAP)
- Act as a functional lead in the global ERP transition related to Credit.
- Conduct complex analysis and validation of financial and credit processes.
- Collaborate with organizational leaders to prepare and implement ERP changes.
- Manage third-party resources (e.g., WiPro) to ensure accountability and performance.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or equivalent (preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in Credit and Collections.
- Strong financial acumen, with ability to prepare reports, analysis, and presentations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge and experience with SAP required.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts effectively across levels.
- Exceptional attention to detail; able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter with proven ability to drive improvements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Bonus Points if You Have
- Experience in Consumer Electronics, Consumer Products, or related industries.
- Advanced Excel and deep SAP expertise.
- Previous experience leading ERP implementation activities.
