For this role, you’ll work remotely, with occasional visits to our UK Support Office in Shoreditch, London.
- Line manage and develop a team of Onboarding Assistants (Compliance).
- Provide expert advice, coaching, and training on compliance matters.
- Act as the first point of escalation for compliance issues, ensuring adherence to legislation and company policies.
- Identify and implement solutions to compliance challenges, enhancing team efficiency and candidate experience.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity through robust quality assurance and auditing processes.
- Monitor and adapt processes in line with legislative or policy changes.
- Drive continuous improvement of compliance and onboarding operations.
- Lead compliance-related projects and optimise system usage for greater efficiency.
- Manage the Onboarding inbox, providing timely and accurate advice.
- Oversee pre-employment checks via Zinc and ensure safer recruitment standards are met.
- Issue contracts, complete final candidate sign-offs, and follow up on outstanding checks.
- Support managers with ATS (Pinpoint) compliance reporting and self-service.
- Track and report compliance and onboarding metrics, identifying risks and improvement opportunities.
- Maintain GDPR compliance and current knowledge of Government and DfE policies.
- Knowledge of pre-employment compliance processes (ideally from a regulated sector)
- Experience working with ATS and HRIS systems as a ‘superuser’ (HiBob and PinPoint would be advantageous)
- Experience working with an employee background checking software (Zinc would be ideal)
- Ideally some experience within (but definitely passion for) the Early Years or Education sector
- Ability to work under pressure and set and achieve high standards within tight timeframes
- Highly organised and able to manage your workload and that of others in the team efficiently and effectively
- Ability to influence across all levels of the business with high levels of integrity and discretion
- Up to date working knowledge of employment law
- Technical systems knowledge - implementing and maintaining systems
