Summary of Job Duties:
The Registered Dietitian is responsible for providing nutritional care individually and as part of an interdisciplinary outpatient care team. The Registered Dietitian is responsible for educating patients, family, professional staff and students/interns. The Registered Dietitian works under the general direction and is responsible to the Nutrition Department Outpatient Team Lead position.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications - Registered Dietitian
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics
- Registered Dietitian (RD)
- Licensed Dietitian (LD) in the State of Arkansas
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Interviewing candidates with all levels of experience - Nutrition, LD & RD
Preferred Qualifications:
- Clinical experience
Registered Dietitian and Licensed by the State of Arkansas preferred
Registered Dietitian II
- RD, LD
- 1 year clinical experience
Registered Dietitian III
- Master’s degree required or Specialty Certification required
- Precepts dietetic interns in the UAMS internship program
- 2+ years’ experience
Registered Dietitian IV
- 4 + years’ experience
- Master’s required
- Specialty Certification required

The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for providing all types of nutritional care as part of an interdisciplinary team. In addition, the Clinical Dietitian is responsible for educating patients, family, professional staff and students/interns. The Clinical Dietitian works under general direction and reports to the Clinical Nutrition Manager. The Clinical Dietitian willingly participates in the patient care teams and supports other team members.
