Required Qualifications

  • Collect, review, and verify professional licenses, certifications, immunizations, background checks, and other required documents.
  • Ensure all credentials meet program, institutional, state, and accrediting body standards.
  • Communicate with external agencies and boards for primary source verification when necessary.
  • Recordkeeping & Data Management
  • Maintain and update credentialing databases and secure electronic filing systems.
  • Monitor expiration dates and send timely reminders for renewals.
  • Generate reports to track compliance status for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare and organize documentation for internal reviews, accreditation visits, and regulatory audits.
  • Identify potential compliance gaps and work with leadership to resolve deficiencies.
  • Ensure all credentialing processes adhere to confidentiality, HIPAA, and FERPA guidelines.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for faculty, staff, and students regarding credentialing requirements.
  • Provide clear instructions, guidance, and support throughout the credentialing process.
  • Collaborate with academic, clinical, and administrative teams to ensure smooth onboarding and continued compliance.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, education, or related field preferred.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in credentialing, compliance, or healthcare/education administration.

Familiarity with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., The Joint Commission, ACEN, CCNE, or discipline-specific standards) preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
  • Proficiency in data entry, records management, and database systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, FERPA, and other confidentiality requirements.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

The holder of this position is responsible for any NCAA and Atlantic Sun Conference bylaws and guidelines that a member of the UNF Athletic Compliance Department provides in addition to all UNF regulations. The individual must also assure that NCAA, Conference and UNF regulations are followed to the best of their knowledge and any violations thereof are reported to UNF Athletic Compliance.
