Duties: Design, develop, and deploy clear, captivating data-driven visuals in a variety of forms and formats that convey Moody’s Ratings risk expertise to new and existing audiences. Utilize expert knowledge of data visualization and full stack development to produce bespoke, visual and interactive research for publication. Create and maintain website templates to enable journalists and analysts to author interactive research content with seamless developer experience. Develop and support JavaScript chart libraries that can be integrated throughout analytical workflows. Ensure code reliability and integrity by writing unit tests for graphics and UI libraries. Work with our centralized IT team to ensure they are following our best practices for security and code quality.
Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Interaction Design, or related technical field plus at least four (4) years of experience as a Developer, Engineer, Consultant, Analyst, or in a related position performing software development and designing technical solutions. Must have experience in full stack web development that includes modern JavaScript, HTML, and CSS within web frameworks such as Svelte or similar technologies such as Angular or React; use, build, and bundle JavaScript libraries using Vite or Webpack; writing unit tests in Jest or Vitest for UI components and data visualizations; data visualization tools and libraries for the web, including D3.js; and working knowledge of agile development, UI design, and data analysis.
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $160,805 - $160,805/yr, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
