Overview:

Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Planner will be responsible for providing maintenance planning support for High Pressure Laminate plant operations, this position will be responsible for maintenance-based equipment outage scheduling, work planning, associated materials / services procurement, and enforcing safe work practices.  You will lead weekly area planning meetings with operations management and process engineering to develop and prioritize the final work plan in support of the plant wide master outage schedule and associated metrics.  Support will also be required from this position for plant Capital Projects and Facilities related work as schedules demand.  This position is also responsible for performing back up maintenance supervisory coverage.

Responsibilities: 

  • Planning and organizing daily maintenance operations and activities in the Plant, which includes hourly maintenance employees and outside contractors; coordinating department activities with those of other departments; inspecting and analyzing equipment and maintenance work; ordering necessary parts and performing related work as required.
  • Lead weekly area planning meetings with operations management and process engineering to develop and prioritize the final work plan in support of the plant wide master outage schedule and associated metrics. 
  • Review and improve the existing Preventative Maintenance Program based on downtime history.
  • Provide support for Capital Projects and Facilities related work, and enforcing safe work practices.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Qualified candidates will possess a minimum of 3 -6 years of maintenance planning experience.  
  • Proven experience developing, implementing and executing a preventative maintenance plan/program.  
  • Must demonstrate good oral and written communication skills, good interpersonal skills, and possess the ability to work and interact in a team setting.
  • Ability to develop and train employees and have good organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze problems and recommend and implement improvements.
  • Proven knowledge of word and excel necessary.
  • Proven knowledge of applicable environmental, health and safety programs.
  • Must be willing to work off shifts and weekends as needed.
