Head of Supplier Quality presso Gordon Murray Group

Gordon Murray Group · Windlesham, Regno Unito · Onsite

Candidarsi ora
At Gordon Murray Automotive, we’re not just engineering vehicles, we’re building a legacy. To deliver the next generation of world-class cars, we need a supply chain that is as innovative, reliable, and robust as our designs. That’s where you come in, creating “driving perfection”.

We are seeking an inspiring and experienced Head of Supplier Quality to lead the charge in defining, shaping, and embedding supplier quality excellence across all our vehicle programmes. This is not simply about managing suppliers, it’s about laying the foundations of a supply chain that will power our business for years to come.

You’ll be the driving force behind supplier quality, setting the vision and strategy that ensures every component, from concept to production, meets the highest standards. Working closely with Programme Managers, Chief Engineers and senior leaders, you’ll build a function that combines robust process with proactive supplier engagement, ensuring quality, timing and cost objectives are never compromised.

This is your chance to:

  • Define the blueprint for supplier quality management across new product introduction (NPI) and current vehicle programmes.
  • Lead the governance of APQP and PPAP processes, ensuring suppliers are fully ready for launch and beyond.
  • Establish a culture of accountability and continuous improvement across the supply base.
  • Act as the escalation point for critical supplier quality issues, steering cross-functional teams to resolution.
  • Build and inspire a high-performing Supplier Quality team, coaching, mentoring and setting the standards for success.
  • Partner with Purchasing, Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure sourcing decisions are grounded in long-term quality performance.
  • Report directly to senior leadership, presenting supplier readiness and performance metrics at the highest level.

About you:

You’ll be an experienced supplier quality leader, ideally with a background in complex automotive or similar high-value, premium engineering environments, and a proven track record of building robust supply chains. You’ll be equally comfortable in the boardroom, setting strategy, as you are on the factory floor or at a supplier site, driving resolution and improvement.
  • Degree-qualified in Engineering, Quality or a related discipline.
  • Strong background in supplier quality management, with expertise in APQP, PPAP, audits and readiness.
  • Skilled in deploying quality tools (FMEA, 8D, SPC, Ishikawa) to drive results.
  • A confident leader with excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • A natural builder — of systems, of teams, and of trust with suppliers.
  • Passionate about shaping the future of supplier quality in a growing, ambitious business.
Why this role matters

This is more than a leadership role — it’s an opportunity to put your stamp on the foundations of our supply chain. The systems, strategies and culture you establish will ensure our vehicles not only meet expectations, but exceed them.

You’ll have the platform, the influence, and the support to create a world-class supplier quality function that underpins every vehicle we deliver.

If you’re ready to leave your mark on the future of automotive quality and supply chain excellence, we want to hear from you.
