Technical Support Manager
Your main responsibilities
Are you passionate about providing top-notch technical support and eager to make a difference in the lift and escalator industry? Join us at Schindler as an EI Technical Support Manager, where you'll play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service.
As the EI Technical Support Manager, you will be the go-to expert for our branches, offering comprehensive technical support in the areas of EI and MOD. Your expertise will be vital in assisting installations and service leaders with complex projects, as well as developing technical training for both group and local products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Focus on leading portfolio reliability initiatives, through collaborative branch management support
- Provide expert technical support to the sales force and service leaders during complex EI and MOD projects.
- Support the sales force and service leaders in discussions with the customer (from a technical point of view).
- Conduct on-site measurements and evaluate specifications for intricate tenders and contracts.
- Liaise with MDCs to ensure seamless information flow and facilitate successful offers.
- Feed the Training Control System with inputs to monitor the Annual Plan and perform analysis of the effectiveness of the technical training.
- Participate in 0-series field installations, and evaluate the provided processes, tools, etc.
- Support Group-run reliability projects and assist branches in optimising top ten and sick units’ processes.
- Address complex issues with Area Technicians, providing feedback to the Group.
- Intervene on-site for technical issues that require specialised attention.

- A recognised expert with a structured approach to work.

- Skilled in communication and coaching, with strong team and networking capabilities.
- Customer-focused, a safety role model, and a quality champion.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of Schindler and 3rd party products and services, particularly lifts and escalators.
- Expertise in EI/MOD environments and third-party equipment.
- Proficient in fault finding, diagnosis, and technical report writing.
- Certified in Schindler technical disciplines, preferably a Schindler Master Instructor.
- NVQ4 qualification is desirable.
- Familiarity with safety SIS systems and processes, with NGFE training for safety assessments.
- Willing to travel extensively and work away from home, often at short notice.
- Willingness to undertake international travel for training courses.
