The Nurse Manager assists in the organization, development, management and administration of day-to-day nursing activities. The Nurse Manager remains active in department activities, transdisciplinary team activities, and GRC activities to ensure individualized, patient-centered care for all patients.
In this position, you will supervise the nursing function and the employees of the nursing department. You will report to and regular supervision and instruction from the Executive Regional Director of Nursing.

Responsibilities
- Provides professional leadership and assists with the daily operation of the nursing department, which includes adequate staff coverage, evaluation of personnel and nursing practice, completion and follow up of regulatory audits.
- Works closely with the Executive Regional Director of Nursing to monitor operational and human resources aspects of the department.
- Assesses problem situations, and after thorough investigation, plans and implements corrective action.
- Assists the nursing units in direct patient care as needed to ensure quality patient care.
- Adheres to Gateway Rehabilitation Center policies, procedures, all safety plans, and all standards imposed by regulatory organizations.
- The knowledge and skills necessary to perform position requirements are demonstrated through the successful completion of competencies established for the position, to include needs of patients served by the department.
- Regular attendance and timeliness are required.
- Attends mandatory GRC trainings.
- This position is responsible for on-call and after-hours responsibilities as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills..

Requirements
- Current RN licensed in the state of Pennsylvania and/or a compact licensure with no restrictions.
- Must have a Current BLS certification.
- Must maintain current unrestricted licensure and BLS certification while employed with GRC.
Preferred Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Three to five years of comparable experience.
- Two plus years of prior supervisory experience.
- Experience in the mental health and addiction field.
Additional Requirements
- Pass a PA Criminal Background Check.
- Obtain PA Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprinting Clearances.
- Pass Drug Screen.
- BLS Certification.
- TB Test.
