Hunterdon Central is seeking an innovative, student-centered, and dynamic educator who thrives working with a team. We are searching for a School Social Worker or School Psychologist to join a supportive and inclusive Child Study Team. The ideal candidate will provide mental health support to Tier 3 students experiencing significant challenges that impact their academic performance. This position supports the school’s multi-tiered system of support (MTSS) and is responsible for delivering and documenting evidence-based therapeutic interventions, collaborating with school staff and families, and community resources. Responsibilities include:
- Provide individual and small group counseling using evidence-based practices.
- Maintain a caseload of Tier 3 students requiring intensive support.
- Participate in and/or lead risk assessments.
- Work with school staff, families and support community connections.
Requirements: - New Jersey School Psychologist or New Jersey School Social Worker certificate.
- Experience in student case management
- Must be trained in current educational and/or cognitive evaluation tools and be able to write evaluations with appropriate suggestions for accommodation
Salary:
$61,695 - $107,175
