Elementary PE Teacher presso Union County Public Schools

We are seeking a passionate and energetic Physical Education Teacher to join our elementary school team. The ideal candidate will inspire students to enjoy movement, develop lifelong fitness habits, and understand the value of teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy living.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, deliver, and assess standards-based PE lessons for elementary students (K–5).

• Create engaging activities that promote physical fitness, motor skills, coordination, and cooperative play.

• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students.

• Teach and reinforce rules of games, sportsmanship, and positive social interaction.

• Adapt instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners and varying ability levels.

• Monitor and evaluate student progress; provide feedback to students, parents, and administrators.

• Maintain equipment, gym spaces, and safety protocols.

• Collaborate with classroom teachers, staff, and administration to support whole-child development.

• Participate in school-wide initiatives, staff meetings, and professional development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Health, or related field 

• Valid state teaching license/certification in Physical Education (or eligibility to obtain).

• Experience teaching or working with elementary-aged children preferred.

• Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.

• Enthusiasm for promoting health, wellness, and an active lifestyle.
