Job Summary: Works with the Director of Group Sales and Corporate Sales Manager to ensure a seamless planning process and high-end experiences for groups & partners by customizing events, products and services. Handles development and execution of contracted events & activities, lift ticket sales and logistics including securing all billing, communications, BEO and itinerary generation & execution, oversees all hospitality interaction with respect to group / contracted business.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following: Other duties may be assigned:

  • Work across a team of sales managers to drive the end to end customer service experience for contracted business.
  • Coordinate with mountain sales team to plan and organize on-mountain group activities, ski lessons, mountain tours, rentals, etc.
  • Proactively work with operations teams to ensure logistics and execution of the experience/event is seamless and consistent with expectations.
  • Work with all venue GMs & staff to execute contracted events. Attend events, assist with set up, help when necessary.
  • Participate in meetings and collaborate with various resort teams (BEO Meetings, Weekly team meetings, etc.).
  • Compile all Banquet Event Orders and Group Resumes.
  • Support sales and outreach efforts- may require travel, giving presentations/public speaking, representing the destination.
  • Be knowledgeable and up to date on town/ski area/local happenings and history.
  • Understand and promote TSG products, services and amenities.
  • Assist in hosting travel agent and special group familiarization/site visits, confirm reservations, develop itineraries, and guide.
  • Process group/wholesale lift ticket orders, deliver if necessary, and collect payments in advance of arrival.
  • Balance all group and wholesale accounts; collect deposits, reconcile any balances due, issue credits or refunds on returned tickets. Make sure all accounts are zeroed out before the end of the season.
  • Attend off-site group welcome receptions and events as a resort representative.
  • Assist Sales Team with essential duties and tasks.

Education and/or Experience:

Associate/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in hospitality, event planning, and/or concierge experience.


Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.


Mathematical Skills:

Must have basic math and accounting skills. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.


Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Explorer Internet software; basic understanding of Payroll systems; Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Processing software. Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Resort POS operating software, resort ecommerce platform, and Salesforce systems are beneficial.


Other Qualifications:

  • Budgeting, Hospitality, Event Planning/Coordination Experience Required.
  • Experience in driving multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Hands-on capabilities, and proven experience in gathering and transforming customer experience.
  • Ability to think like a customer and see our experiences through a customer-centric view.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, participating in the sales cycle and handling sensitive customer escalations.
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays and overtime.
  • Must be able to work effectively at elevations of 10,000 feet or higher.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.
  • Ability to ski or snowboard at an intermediate/expert level.
  • Must be able to function effectively in inclement weather conditions.
  • Must have housing in or near Telluride, CO.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

 

The wage for this position is $25.00-$27.00/hr.
