Area Manager (Multi-Unit Leader)

We’re seeking an Area Manager (Multi-Unit Leader) to oversee 2–3 Chip Cookies locations. A leader who takes ownership of multiple stores, drives growth and excellence, and ensures consistency.

This role bridges the gap between single-store managers and the Regional Manager, with direct accountability for P&L, people, and performance across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership & People

    • Lead, coach, and develop Keyholders and hourly crew across multiple stores.

    • Build a strong bench of talent, ready for future manager roles.

    • Foster a positive, high-performance culture that aligns with Chip’s values.

  • Operations & Standards

    • Ensure consistent product quality and guest experience across all locations.

    • Implement and enforce Chip’s operating standards, training, and procedures.

    • Maintain labor discipline: schedule efficiently, flex staff across stores, and control costs.

  • Sales & Growth

    • Drive local store marketing, catering, and community engagement.

    • Partner with Regional Manager to execute promotions and initiatives.

    • Set and achieve ambitious sales growth targets.

  • Accountability

    • P&L ownership for assigned stores.

    • Review weekly KPIs (sales, labor %, customer satisfaction).

    • Deliver quarterly progress updates.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years in restaurant/retail GM level management/leadership (multi-unit experience preferred).

  • Proven track record of hitting sales and labor goals.

  • Strong coaching and people development skills.

  • Comfortable managing P&L, scheduling, and operational standards.

  • Passionate about delivering an exceptional customer experience.
