Under direct supervision, responsible for assisting patients in various capacities during sessions in support of physical therapy evaluation and treatment.
Responsibilities
- Assists therapists and senior level technicians with providing patient treatment.
- Assists with patient check-ins and scheduling.
- Maintains, organizes and cleans treatment areas, ensuring area is prepped for each therapy session.
- Assists with various basic clinic operations as assigned.
- Assists patient's with moving to and from various treatment areas and equipment.
- Completes clerical tasks to include ordering supplies, answering the phone, completing insurance forms and any other related activities.
- Serves as a liaison between physical therapist and patients.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Entry level knowledge of physical therapy principles, practices and processes.
- Knowledge of coding procedures.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Record.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask efficiently and effectively.
- Ability to act calmly and effectively in a busy or stressful situation.
Company
- Front-loaded Paid Time Off: 128 to 208 hours (16 to 26 days) of Paid Time Off based on years of service, given at the start of each fiscal year. PTO may be prorated in year one based on date of hire.
