What You’ll Be Doing

As the Public Safety Officer, you will: Greet and direct the public, receive and process mail and packages, manage fingerprint requests, answer phones and direct telephone requests, request police officers when necessary. Documents calls for service via the telephone or walk-in contacts by obtaining pertinent facts and determining appropriate response. Write and input reports into the department’s record system to allow for follow-up investigation. Inform complainants that an official offense/incident report has been filed, provide service number and explain the department’s follow-up process.
