Responsibilities
Ensure that all un-reconciled cash items are under query, within one month of receipt of payment.
Manage all credit controls and reconciliations across broker accounts.
Monitor problem accounts through to resolution assisting Client Contacts, Profit Centres and Brokers when required.
Oversee Belgium & Luxemburg day-to-day activities within the onshore and offshore teams to monitor and achieve monthly performance measurements of all accounts.
Assist in France day-to-day collections activities within the onshore and offshore teams.
Act as the first point of escalation for complex or difficult customer/broker issues.
Ensure efficient daily staff supervision, training any new staff on all systems used within assigned area.
Lead and conduct dunning activities (dunning callendar, reminders and letters)
Prepare and present Monthly Credit committee report, and collection performance, AR, DSO, ad-hoc monthly/quarterly/yearly reports as required by the direct manager.
Attend weekly Team and Management meetings.
Monitor FAS5 process, review all write offs and authorize within approved limits.
Handle broker relationship and regular meetings with third party stakeholders.
Work with O&S, profit centres, Claims, ICO and Reinsurance teams to improve processes to achieve better results through reconciliation for all accounts.
Manage and work closely with Account Handlers, Operations, and all Profit Centres to ensure all targets are met.
Analyse operational processes to identify areas for improvement and implement new ideas to enhance efficiency.
Undertake any other duties projects as appropriate within the competence, as required by the direct manager.
Key Experience
Background in finance, cash management and credit analysing (working in insurance industry will be advantage).
5+ years’ experience in Cash Collection / Account receivables.
Ability to work with and achieve set targets within specific time frames.
Key Capabilities
Language requirements: proficient in French and English, Dutch would be a plus
Highly organized with strong ability to handle multiple priorities, organise work and meet submissions and deadlines.
Strong team leadership, with the ability to direct and motivate staff.
Effective communication skills with internal / external customers at all levels including senior stakeholders.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Collaborative team-player.
Always looking for continuous improvement.
Strong administrative, numeracy and personal organisational skills.
Able to work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines.
