What We Are Looking For

We're now hiring a Night Shift Continuous Improvement Coordinator that will be responsible for supporting continuous improvement activities along with their sustainment actions, throughout Kenny’s Candy and Confections. They will utilize their knowledge, skills, and abilities to support the company safety, quality, productivity, and training goals.


Essential Duties

  • Work with department leadership to identify opportunities for continuous improvement Involvement
  • Collaborate with all department leaders across all work centers to focus on safety, food safety and job performance expectations into detailed Job Descriptions, Work Instructions, and Training Aids
  • Work with all departments to create and /or update training material based on the current and revised processes
  • Elicit requirements and document processes using staff interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, and workflow analysis
  • Assist plant teams with developing measures, quantifying results, determining actions, and tracking progress
  • Influence behaviors and problem-solving culture be attending and supporting tier meetings
  • Provides visible CI leadership and guidance to all production and support staff in order to foster continuous improvements and best practices. Maintains continuous engagement with all production, maintenance, quality and warehouse employees
  • Works with Production Supervisor to establish and deploy standard works for all associates
  • Ensures production schedule is met. Lines running at expected rates. Reviews waste, downtimes, training, and acts to improve results
  • Ability to perform all job functions in adherence of KLN/Kenny’s Candy and Confections’ philosophy and values
  • A full understanding of equipment to troubleshoot, and maintain lines. Helps coordinate communication between maintenance, quality, and warehouse within the shift
  • Assist in transfer of information between first, second, and third shift
  • Attends continuous improvement trainings
  • Act as a relief in covering for vacations or unexpected absences
  • Accepts/accomplishes other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • Three or more years of work experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • General mechanical knowledge
  • Great verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of directors, managers, and subject matter experts
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Project, Visio, Word, Outlook, and Power Point
  • Possess a positive attitude for goal setting, personnel motivation, and creating harmony in the work place
  • Willing to work hours as needed to accomplish goals

Benefits

  • Base Pay: $23.32/hr
  • Year 1 Bonus: $1.22/hr
  • 10% Shift Differential for Night Shift: $2.33/hr
  • Profit Sharing Eligibility: Begins after completing 1 year of employment (prior year profit sharing equated to an extra $5.68/hr for employees)
