About the role
Reporting to the Digital Platform Test Manager, you will lead the delivery of testing on behalf of IT for many major Digital programs. As we embark on a period of rapid transformation you will help ensure that projects follow our strategic test goals and will be an ambassador for software quality.
Key responsibilities
- Drive the end-to-end delivery of testing (functional and non-functional) within timescale, cost and quality constraints
- Manage dependencies between testing phases and projects across multiple technology stacks and delivery workstreams
- Review project test estimates and monitor actual costs to maintain financial accuracy
- Ensure stakeholders are well managed and test progress is accurately and regularly reported
- Manage test partner resource, including Test Managers, SDETs, Quality Engineers and Test Analysts
- Effectively lead, mentor and coach Test Team Members to ensure all colleagues are working together cohesively
- Work alongside our internal colleagues and partner teams to foster a mindset of innovation and improvements within Quality Engineering
What you'll need to have
- A minimum of 5 years test management experience, it would be great if this was in a Retail and / or Digital landscape
- Experience working within an agile software delivery environment
- Proven experience of managing the end to end testing lifecycle, including functional and non-functional phases, across large projects and programmes
- Experience of leading partner test teams across a number of geographical locations
- The ability to work under pressure in fast moving and challenging environments
- Experience with principles, theories, practices, and techniques for managing activities involved in planning and delivering software testing within projects
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage, influence, negotiate and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders at all levels in the business
- The ability to explain, simplify and communicate complex messages to both technical and non-technical colleagues
