Job Description:

Employment Type: 0.6 FTE (3 days per week), Ongoing
Location: Canberra, ACT, Australia (On-site)

Commencement Date: 5 January 2026
Note: Applicants must have full working rights in Australia. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role. This position will be based in Canberra, and the successful candidate will be expected to be on Campus on a regular basis.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on Program Coordinator to lead and shape our Diploma of Health course. This is a key academic leadership role within UCC, central to delivering an exceptional student experience and ensuring successful pathway outcomes to the University of Canberra. This role also includes teaching duties.

You will be responsible for the academic quality, innovative teaching practices, coherent design of the program, and managing the teaching team for the course. Your leadership will directly impact student success by overseeing curriculum development, teaching delivery, and fostering a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications:

Essential Selection Criteria

  1. A postgraduate qualification in a Health-related discipline.
  2. Proven experience in developing, teaching, and evaluating higher education courses/programs.
  3. Demonstrated ability in educational design for blended and online delivery, and a variety of teaching methods.
  4. Strong organisational, administrative, and data analysis skills, with the ability to use data to inform program quality and future direction.
  5. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to work effectively with students, staff, and university partners.
  6. A commitment to staff development, academic quality, and the strategic goals of UCC.
  7. A sound understanding of and commitment to compliance within the tertiary education sector.
  8. Must hold or be able to obtain a Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration.

Desirable Criteria

  • Background in the public or private education sector.
  • Experience in pathway courses/programs.
  • Understanding of ESOS Legislation. 
  • Experience in a leadership or team management role.
  • Ability to interpret financial information.
  • Proficiency in a foreign language.
