Specialist, Ticketing Business Operations

Department: Tickets Program Location: Houston, TX

Summary

The Specialist, Ticketing Business Operations is responsible for managing all financial transactions and reconciliation processes within the Ticketing Department. This role also provides operational support to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional customer service across all ticketing functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Ticketing Business Operations

  • Manage cash flow and reconciliation of ticket sales, including:
    • Season and Individual Tickets
    • Parking
    • Season Suites and Entertainment Suites
    • Premium Spaces (Chute Seats, Chairman�s Club, Stage Left)
    • NRG Park Admission
    • World�s Championship Bar-B-Que Contest
    • Rodeo Uncorked! and Best Bites
  • Collaborate with Accounting and IT to:
    • Prepare deposits and approve/interface daily ticketing receipts from AXS to NetSuite
    • Monitor data flow to ensure all eligible orders and payments are posted to NetSuite.
      • Maintain failure logs and drive incident resolution.
    • Manage item mappings between AXS and NetSuite to onboard new items into the item master/API, ensuring accurate revenue account usage.
    • Lead release and user acceptance testing for integration changes.
  • Prepare weekly reconciliation reports aligned with AXS wire transfers and period-close reconciliations across AXS and NetSuite.
  • Manage and reconcile Ticketing Suspense and Suite Deposit accounts.
  • Assist the Ticket Director with budget management and financial close documentation.
  • Develop and implement streamlined processes for reconciliation, invoicing, and budgeting.

General Support

  • Assist with ticket sales, order fulfillment, payment posting, and ticket printing/packaging.
  • Provide customer service via phone and ticket windows.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to provide ticketing support to departments including, but not limited to, Sponsorship, Corporate Development, and Wine.
  • Train users on the AXS ticketing system.
  • Use Endicia mailing system to postmark ticket packages.
  • Support customer service during the Show for ticketing and seating issues.
  • Assist with special projects such as Season Ticket Relocation and managing unpaid orders.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Support the Ticket Manager in training and supervision of seasonal staff and volunteers.

Qualifications

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite
  • Excellent communication, customer service, organizational abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a team-oriented environment.
  • Persistence in resolving discrepancies and improving processes.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor�s degree from a four-year college or university, or
  • 3�5 years of relevant experience in cash management, reconciliation, ticketing, or customer service, or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

Language Skills

  • Ability to write clear reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable presenting information to customers, volunteers, and internal team

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Basic accounting knowledge required.
  • Experience in bookkeeping and customer service industries
  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Experience with NetSuite and ticketing systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with Smartsheet is a plus.

Physical Demands

  • Must be available to work all consecutive days of the 20�21-day Show.
  • Extended hours required during peak periods.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, kneel, or lift/move 50+ pounds.
  • Frequent walking across event grounds during the Show

Work Environment

  • Exposure to dust, chemicals, and animals may occur during the Show and other events.
