Director of Quality and Compliance-
 Northern Counties Health Care (NCHC) is seeking a dynamic Director of Quality and Compliance to lead organizational efforts in clinical excellence, performance improvement, and regulatory compliance. Reporting directly to the CEO, this position oversees quality initiatives, compliance programs, accreditation readiness, and risk management to ensure safe, effective, and equitable care.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and oversight of quality improvement and compliance programs.
  • Support federal/state regulatory requirements, HRSA standards, and external quality initiatives (PCMH, Meaningful Use, VT programs).
  • Manage compliance training, investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Oversee claims coordination, risk management activities, and reporting to senior leadership and the Board.
  • Collaborate with providers, staff, and external stakeholders to improve outcomes and patient experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (relevant experience may substitute).
  • Management experience in healthcare, including staff supervision and project leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of community-based primary care, quality initiatives, and healthcare reform.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work both independently and collaboratively.

This is an exempt, full-time leadership position offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on healthcare quality and compliance in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom.
