RadiFi Credit Union is seeking a Loan Development Specialist to be responsible for independently generating and originating consumer loan products by meeting with members at branch locations and conducting thorough needs assessments. This role drives production by actively seeking opportunities to support members with auto loans, personal loans, lines of credit, credit cards, and home equity loans. The Loan Development Specialist is expected to build their own pipeline through community outreach, developing relationships, and promoting loan products to support both lending goals and the credit union's community engagement objectives.
Location: Park Street Branch; 562 Park St., Jacksonville, FL 32204
Status: Full-time (approximately 40 hours per week)
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and handle incoming new membership requests via phone and online that are not assigned to a branch. Manage and handle phone and online member loan requests.
- Meet with members at branch locations, virtually, and/or digitally to originate consumer loans, including auto, personal, line of credit, credit cards, and home equity products.
- Guide members through the loan application process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional member service.
- Assess members’ needs and recommend appropriate loan solutions aligned with their financial goals.
- Actively participate in community outreach programs, events, and partnerships to expand market presence and build relationships.
- Monitor pipeline activity, turn times, and conversion rates, identifying areas for improvement and efficiency.
- Achieve assigned loan growth and business development goals.
- Maintain current knowledge of loan products, company policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Serve as a positive representative of the company both in-branch and in the community.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills
Experience:
A minimum of five years of experience in a credit union or financial institution is required, including at least three years of lending experience with a focus on sales and business development. A demonstrated history of high-performing sales goals and consistently meeting or exceeding aggressive growth targets is essential.
Education/Certifications/Licenses:
High school diploma or equivalent is required; associate or bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field preferred.
Interpersonal Skills:
Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.
Other Skills:
• Demonstrated ability to achieve sales goals and business development objectives.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and member service skills.
• Ability to be a self-starter, manage change, and foster a collaborative environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and loan origination systems.
• Strong understanding of financial products and regulatory compliance.
• NMLS certification required.

Physical Requirements:
Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit. Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus.

Must be able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
