OVERVIEW:
The Shipping/Receiving/Warehouse role is a vital position that fosters comprehensive product knowledge, customer interaction, and interpersonal relationship skills. By working closely with PSSR’s, Inventory Control, and Service Personnel, this role provides opportunities to build expertise through off-site, in-house, and self-study product training, forming a strong foundation for career growth.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Respond to customer needs in the procurement, ordering, shipping, and receiving of inventory.
- Ship and receive parts and record all incoming parts, components, and assemblies into inventory.
- Pull and stage parts for work orders.
- Stock shelves as needed and organize parts locations balancing inventory control with work efficiencies.
- Communicate and coordinate with other branches on all transfers of parts.
- Parts/Service/Sales running as needed.
- Build knowledge of existing product lines, service standards and procedures.
- Take advantage of every available opportunity to increase knowledge through attendance at meetings, seminars, and schools.
- Maintain close, positive working relationships with service, sales, and administrative departments.
- Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse.
- Maintain a high degree of proficiency regarding to parts business and functions performed in order to instill internal and external customer confidence, assurance, and satisfaction with the parts service.
- Prepare parts to ship and schedule pick-ups with various carriers.
- Will be operating a forklift in close quarters; loading and unloading parts onto and off trucks.
- Enter accurate information into our computerized inventory system.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision will be required.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Parts Manager.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Requires managing multiple tasks while keeping extremely accurate records and paying close attention to detail.
- Have solid equipment and parts knowledge.
- Forklift experience is a requirement.
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Access, MS Outlook, Purchase Order systems and Distributor Operating systems.
- Background in parts sales in a retail environment preferred.
- Must have excellent customer service skills, both internal and external customers.
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent oral/written communication skills.
- Attain short- and long-term objectives through good management and planning.
- Organizational skills with ability to effectively manage multiple projects.
- Must be personable, highly motivated, a problem solver, reliable, ethical, and able to adapt to all forces around them – customers, suppliers, coworkers, and manufacturers.

NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB:
