We are looking for a qualified and highly capable Group Management Accountant to join our Finance team on a permanent basis. This is a critical role with responsibility for producing consolidated management accounts and delivering clear, insightful analysis to support decision-making across our global operations.

This position will suit someone who is confident working independently, has strong technical accounting experience, and, crucially, can communicate financial information in a polished and professional way to senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare Group Management Accounts across 1 holding company and 6 trading companies in the UK, USA, and Europe.
  • Consolidate results and deliver a monthly leadership pack for board meetings, including KPIs, performance analysis, and commentary.
  • Carry out variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior periods, providing clear written explanations of differences.
  • Maintain and update forecasts to reflect current trading activity, including flash revenue forecasting at the start and mid-point of each month.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and fixed asset accounting.
  • Lead on VAT checks and quarterly submissions.
  • Support the annual audit process, managing queries and ensuring compliance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and reporting to enhance financial controls.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis to support business performance reviews at both departmental and individual levels.

Person Specification

  • ACA, CIMA, or ACCA qualified, with strong post-qualification experience
  • Proven experience of management accounting and consolidations across multiple entities.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to produce board-level reporting packs.
  • Excellent written communication skills – able to prepare variance analysis and commentary that is clear, accurate, and professional.
  • Advanced Excel capability (VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, pivot tables, INDEX MATCH).
  • Highly organised, structured, and able to work at pace with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in the recruitment industry or working in a fast-paced sales environment would be beneficial.
