- Reviews cured tires rejected by inspectors
- Determines if tires inspector rejected are repairable or scrap
- Initiates follow-up actions regarding quality, as required
- Communicates with each production area regarding quality issues
- Monitors green tires in process
- Verifies specifications on press start up tires including review of the tire to ensure tire is free of anomalies
- Monitors uniformity scrap and repairs and communicates with technical dept. regarding results
- Processes curing alarm tires based on disposition from the technical dept (night shift only)
- Repairs green tires, when necessary, upon approval by QA manager
- Suspends/holds green tires in CADIOS
- Performs equipment and material audits in TBM and stock prep to ensure there are no quality issues
- Obtains cut sections of tires when necessary for anomaly investigation
- May represent quality dept. at 9:00 shift and 4:00 shift production meetings
- Cleans and disposes of cured tires as needed
- Compiles daily shift reports and daily green and cured scrap reports
- Investigates causes of cured and green tire abnormalities
- Controls and documents in-process quality including issuance of 8 tire build request
- Monitors all initial production tires that are in process
- Monitors all ATOM transfer tires that are in process
- Monitors all test tires that are in process
