Job Summary:
The Physician Assistant (PA) is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals. This role emphasizes the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with lower extremity conditions, wounds, and related comorbidities. The PA provides clinical expertise, patient education, and evidence-based treatment to improve patient outcomes.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities:
· Examine patients and review medical records.
· Order and interpret diagnostic tests (bloodwork, x-rays, etc.).
· Diagnose health conditions and illnesses.
· Propose treatments for wound management.
· Prescribe medications.
· Order durable medical equipment to promote wound care and healing.
· Maintain accurate records and schedules.
· Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed treatments.
· Educate patients and family members on wound treatment and management.
· Promote good health practices.
· Debride wounds using sharp, enzymatic, or autolytic methods in a safe manner.
· Apply topical wound care and wound management products.
· Recommend and refer associated services to improve wound healing outcomes.
· Maintain strict patient confidentiality.
· Attend required meetings to improve wound care processes.
· Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice.

Education and Experience:
· Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
· Current and unrestricted license as a Physician Assistant in the state of South Carolina
· Proven experience as a PA in a clinical, hospital, ER, or other setting.
· Minimum of 1–3 years of experience providing wound care (preferred).
