Key Responsibilities:
- Unload and load materials from trucks, pallets, and shelves using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other tools.
- Organize the warehouse by moving materials to designated storage areas, ensuring easy access and efficient workflows.
- Ensure accurate inventory—label and place materials correctly according to inventory management procedures.
- Perform inventory checks and cycle counts to ensure everything is in order.
- Assist with shipping and receiving—inspect incoming materials, verify quantities, and ensure quality control.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and company policies.
- Communicate with warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and address any concerns.
- Contribute to process improvements by identifying ways to boost warehouse efficiency.
- Keep the warehouse running smoothly by assisting with various warehouse tasks as needed.
Key Qualifications:
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) preferred.
- Proven experience as a material handler, warehouse associate, or in a similar role.
- Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- A basic understanding of warehouse management systems and inventory control procedures.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 75 lbs.) and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and tracking inventory.
- Great communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
