Columbia Community Mental Health is a nonprofit agency and Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic that provides services to individuals with mental, addiction and developmental disabilities. The Community Developmental Disabilities Program (CCDP) provides access to local, regional, and statewide resources for children and adults who experience a developmental disability. In addition to comprehensive case management and service coordination, our staff assist with early Intervention and phase of life transitions. Our team will work closely with eligible individuals to ensure needs are addressed in a comprehensive and collaborative manner.
Position: Eligibility Specialist
Department: Intellectual Development Disabilities
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00pm to 5:00pm
Salary Range: $26.96 to $35.20 (hourly). We use a bona fide factor system to determine starting wage (years of experience, education, credentials, and specialty skills that relate to the job requirements).

Position Requirements: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in behavioral science, social science, human services, public administration, or a closely related field; Bachelor's degree in any field HR/DD Eligibility Specialist 2.2019/11.2020 with one year experience of the public service system for developmental disability services in Oregon; or three years professional level evaluative, human services, analytical, and planning experience. Any combination of experience and education equivalent to five years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skills for the position, as approved by the Department of Human Services (DHS).
Qualifications & Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required: Knowledge of I/DD Services, case management; skills to interact with clients, family and subcontracted providers. Good computer skills a must. Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and current auto insurance, meeting agency standards and ability to pass agency MVR test required.
Summary: The position focuses on providing community education on eligibility criteria, completion of prospective new intakes and the application process, eligibility determination, and eligibility redetermination at various ages of development in compliance with Oregon Administrative Rules (OARs).
