ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Supervises Community School staff, may include interns and volunteers; develops
comprehensive trainings and participates in the hiring and termination process of program
staff.
• Develops and implements a comprehensive training program.
• Manages all components of the Community School which includes out-of-school-time
programs, adult services, family and community activities, recruitment and retention, and
community development.
• Utilizes skills necessary to effectively address all levels of risk management, implementing
a restorative approach when responding to behavioral problems in the Community School
program.
• Conducts a comprehensive needs assessment plan of the school and community to ensure
services provide a range of learning, are culturally competent, based in a restorative
approach and meet the highest needs of the school and community.
• Plans and makes recommendations for the implementation of high-quality program
activities that meet the mission and vision of the Community School values (pillars).
• Provide a range of learning.
• Facilitates Community School Advisory Board meetings, delegates tasks among members,
and recruit members as needed.
• Shares responsibility with the Community School Advisory Board to ensure funder
deliverables are met and agency and funder standards for out-of-school-time.
• Ensures that site based reporting and program evaluation components are completed. This
includes record-keeping, monitoring policies and procedures, evaluating program
outcomes, and analyzing data to support recruitment and retention efforts.
• Provides direct service to youth and parents.
• Organize consumer and/or oversight committees.
• Seeks input from teachers, school staff, LSC members, parents, and students to determine
ongoing needs of students and families.
• Negotiates agreements within the approved program with agencies and individuals who
provide services.
• Secures appropriate agency approvals as necessary.
• At principal's request, and with agency approval, assumes responsibility for additional out-of-school-time programs.
• Assures that site-based reporting and evaluation components are completed.
• Manages all aspects of the Community School budget. Responsible for maintaining expenditures within budget, processing payment for Independent Contractors, making purchases for programs, updating budget tracking system weekly, and reviewing financial reports regularly.
• Makes purchases for program as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• 1+ years of supervisory or team lead experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
• Demonstrated intermediate experience in Microsoft Suite, including excel.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with school personnel, agency staff, parents, and community
partners.
• Available to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings and some weekends.
• Ability to work in dual accountability, milieu-responsible to the agency and/but also to
school administration.
• Access to mobility on regular basis required; an automobile with insurance coverage and a
valid driver’s license may be required depending on location.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English required depending on location.
• Proficient in required computer programs such as Microsoft 365/Microsoft Office, including excel, required or the ability to learn within the first 3 months.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and stand for
sustained periods of time, frequently talk, hear, use hands and fingers to feel, handle, and
operate objects or controls, and occasionally stand, bend, stretch, stoop, kneel and crouch.
The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing
and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, and viewing a computer terminal.
