ORGANIZATION SUMMARY
World Relief is a global Christian humanitarian organization whose mission is to boldly engage the world’s greatest crises in partnership with the church. This position is reliant upon funding and may be subject to modification or termination based on resource availability.


POSITION SUMMARY:


The Pre-Arrival Setup Specialist is responsible for completing the apartment readiness for new arriving clients. This involves coordinating with the housing specialist, attending team meetings, securing material needs items, driving the box truck, and moving furniture and items into apartments/dwelling spaces. An average of two setups a week are expected.



This is a limited-term position funded through a grant agreement until Cand December 31, 2025 contingent upon funding extension.

This involves coordinating with the housing specialist, attending team meetings, securing material needs items, driving the box truck, and moving furniture and items into apartments/dwelling spaces. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Set up client's apartments prior to their arrival 
  • Purchase household items needed to complete apartment setups 
  • Maintain accurate and timely expense records   
  • Coordinate and arrange setups with community partners and volunteers   -
  • Train community partners and volunteers on apartment set-up requirements   
  • Coordinate and schedule donation pick-ups with the Donations Coordinator   
  • Pick up donations and give them to clients directly or put them into storage   
  • Manage storage unit including reporting inventory and donated items to Donations Coordinator   -Coordinate and assist case specialists with transporting clients from the airport, to their apartment at move-in, and to appointments (as needed)   
  • Assist other admin team members with projects as assigned 


  • JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Mature and personal Christian faith
  • Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief
  • Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
  • Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Association of Evangelicals' For the Health of The Nation document
  • Inclusive of the physical demands described later in this posting, candidates must have the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) medium to heavy weights (21-50+ pounds). 
  • Must be willing to drive agency vehicles, including a box truck 
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, access to reliable transportation, and auto insurance required

  • Ability to work with minimum supervision while able to problem-solve promptly and efficiently   
  • Demonstrated skills in managing multiple concurrent and on-going tasks   
  • Ability to effectively engage with people from various backgrounds and cultures   
  • Ability to communicate clearly both in writing and speaking   
  • Strong attention to detail demonstrated across both physical work and administrative work   -Competent in the use of Microsoft Office   
  • Flexible/motivated team player
